Who We Are
We are a team of experienced criminal lawyers based out of Edmonton, Alberta. We defend people who are charged with criminal and regulatory offences all over Western Canada. We are extremely experienced and specialized in this area of law. We pride ourselves on our practical, client-centered approach, and our practice areas cover a wide range of offences, from driving offences to domestic violence, sexual offences to weapons offences, and more.
Kent Teskey joined the firm 2013. Previously, he articled and partnered with prominent criminal lawyer, Peter Royal K.C. at the firm of Royal Teskey Barristers. He was elected as a Bencher of the Law Society of Alberta in 2014 and was responsible for leading the Board regulating the legal profession in Alberta and its 10,000 lawyers. In 2016, he was appointed King’s Counsel in recognition of his contribution to public life and the legal profession. He then served as President of the Law Society of Alberta for 2020 as one of the youngest Presidents elected in its over 100 year history. On April 24th, 2023, Justice Kent J. Teskey, K.C. was appointed to Court of King’s bench, and is no longer practicing at Pringle Law.
