COVID-19 Update

The COVID-19 pandemic has caused a near shutdown of all public activities and the courts are no exception. The Provincial Court of Alberta has issued a directive that all out of custody matters in court between March 17, 2020 and May 22, 2020 will be automatically adjourned for 10 weeks. In addition, if you have been recently charged with an offence, your first court may not be for several months. We recognize that this is an especially confusing and stressful time. We are here to help. Please contact us and we will be happy to discuss the status of your matter and let you know when your next court date is.

COVID-19 has also caused major disruptions in people’s private lives. Even more so if you have been placed on release conditions by the police or courts. Please contact us and we would be pleased to discuss your options to have your release conditions changed in a timely manner.

Finally, we recognize that COVID-19 has caused significant financial strain to many people. The lawyers at Pringle Chivers Sparks Teskey are able to accommodate all budgets as well as provide flexible financing options, deferred retainers and most importantly, free consultations. Contact us today to discuss your case.
